The plant is also known as sleeping berry or Indian ginseng, as it is primarily recognized as a medicinal plant in Ayurvedic medicine. The name "Ashwa" is derived from Sanskrit and means something like "smell of the horse", which is due to the smell of the root.
ORIGIN OF RAW MATERIAL
The raw material for our premium Ashwagandha capsules comes from Rajastan in India and is grown there according to the ecological guidelines. From June to October, when the content of withanolides has reached its peak, the plants are harvested gently by hand.
CULTIVATION & PRODUCTION
After harvesting the plants, the roots are separated from the rest of the bush and gently shade-dried. Then the grinding begins according to the shellbroken method in a multi-stage grinding process. Finest powder (<0.125mm) thus ensures optimal absorption of all components of the roots and ensures high bioavailability of the raw material.
